I thoroughly enjoyed being a part of Colors' Ashoka – Sonal Parihar
Actress Sonal Parihar is presently being applauded for her role of Nirjara in Colors’ show on the life of Ashoka, Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat (Contiloe Pictures).
As Nirjara, Sonal plays the very close disciple of Chanakya (Manoj Joshi), and has also taken in all his learning and even executes them to the ‘T’.
As per the ongoing track, Nirjara has taken over the avatar of Ashoka’s mother Dharma (Pallavi Subhash) in order to save her from the claws of death. However, playing the two different roles of Nirjara and Dharma has not been easy for the actress, as the roles require varied emotions and characteristics.
Says Sonal, “Nirjara is crafty, and will do things every tactfully, just like how Chanakya will go about things. Now she is required to protect Dharma from the eyes of the evil. So she has posed to be Dharma. The sequences for me as an actress are very challenging; and I am happy that I am being noticed in this role. I always knew when I took up the show, that this was supposed to be a cameo. But the role was so intense and good that I had to take it up.”
In due course of time, Nirjara’s character will attain huge prominence as she will sacrifice her life in order to save Dharma.
“Yes, going by the way the track is shaping up, the sacrifice is eminent. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with the unit of Ashoka. All the actors are so senior, yet warm and welcoming. I had a blast shooting for Ashoka,” states the actress.

Sonal, job well done!!
