“Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ has given me a lot of visibility.” – Sachin Tyagi
In conversation with Sachin Tyagi.
Last seen in ‘Swaragini’ (Colors), Sachin Tyagi has been appreciated for experimenting with various roles on TV. As he continues his journey on the silver screen with his impressive performance in ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ on Star Plus, the actor gets chatty about his journey so far.
What kind of response are you receiving for your character as Kartik’s (Mohsin Khan) father in ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’?
I have never experienced such kind of adoration from fans. I learnt about this particularly in Bikaner where our outdoor shoot was scheduled. We shot at Rajgad Palace and there was a huge crowd who wanted to see and get clicked with us. Watching them, I wondered what Shah Rukh Khan would be feeling like when he performed live on stage!
‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ has given me a lot of visibility and I am honoured.
How is it working with Producer, Rajan Shahi?
Rajan Shahi is the best. More than judging him to be a good or a bad person, I think working with him is a learning experience. The man is an example of humbleness and I must say, he is a very down to earth person.
Rajan Shahi has only produced super hit shows but he has no air about it. I am yet to see any producer who is so peaceful. He doesn’t mind being turned down by his own people or his actors. Also, he narrates the scripts and presents the characters fantastically.
Rajan Shahi directed your wife, Rakshanda Khan in ‘Jassi Jaise Koi Nahi’ too…
Yes, infact our children also study in the same class. Rajan Shahi’s daughter and my daughter have their outings also together!
Whom do you bond the most on the set with?
I like everyone. I bond the best with Mohena Singh.
What do you think are the current trends on television?
I have no clue what the trends are but ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ is the number 1 show and is trending the most.
Way to go Sachin!
