Gireesh Sahdev roped in for Colors’ Mughal-E-Azam
Colors’ most ambitious project Mughal-E-Azam is already creating a lot of buzz among the audience. Actors Shaheer Sheikh and Sonarika Bhadoria will play the central roles of Salim and Anarkali and the latest to join the cast of the serial is talented actor Gireesh Sahdev who is known for his role in Shastri Sisters and Sarabhai v/s Sarabhai.
As per media reports he will essay the role of Jodha’s brother. Interestingly, brothers Piyush and Gireesh Sahdev are part of the show.
Dhrisha joins cast of Mere Sai
The story line of Mere Sai showcases the bond between Jhipari and Sai Baba, which will go in for a transformation. Child artist Dhruti Mangeshkar, who essayed the role of Jhipari will be replaced by Dhrisha.

Raashi Bawa’s dream comes true.
Actress Raashi Bawa from Sanjay and Binaifer Kohli’s Jijaji Chhat Par Hai is only 19 years old and she is already creating waves with her debut show. Raashi who is born and brought up in Mumbai always wanted to be a director. She says,”When I was two and a half years old, I acted in a telefilm titled Boond by Vivek Agnihotri. I was always fascinated with movies and its technicality. So after my school I went to Edinburg, Scotland and studied technical theatre in Fife college for two years.
There I learnt a lot from production to projection to many technical things. I was only 16 years old then.
My parents have always been very supportive and encouraging. My dad Naveen Bawa is a senior actor in the industry and fortunately he is also playing the character of Daroga Pinky in my debut show. My mother runs an academy, so there was always an acceptance.” Speaking on her debut role in Jijaji Chhat Par Hai Raashi says, “One day I went to meet my dad on the set of FIR and there I met my director Shashank Bali.
After that I was asked to participate in an audition and next thing I come to know is that I have been selected for Sunita’s role in the show. For me this is a fantastic experience and doing comedy is the toughest thing. It takes a lot to make people smile.”
Vibha Chibber: Teaching acting to children is challenging as well as a learning experience
Besides her stellar acting career in films such as Chak De! India, Vibha Chibber also teaches acting. The actor says that she loves the experience. “I started it during 1989 and it was difficult as I was young. I started with kids in the age group of 16 to 18 years. I didn’t have any experience. People say that working with kids is not difficult but it’s still not a joke to work with kids because we cannot get them to our level. We have to get down to their level. Everyone’s imaginations are different, it was difficult with kids but I have learned the command over the techniques. It’s equally learning and challenging,” says Vibha, who conducts 15-day workshops with kids.
Ask her what exactly is required to reach out to kids and she says, “Does it require extra patience? It requires a lot of patience plus you have to be a very good listener,” she says.
Vikas Grover speaks on Monsoon!
Vikas Grover says monsoon means romance, fun and lots of cheerfulness to him.
He adds, “Monsoon is my favourite season. I find this season is most romantic. My favourite monsoon gateway as far as I have experienced is Ooty. It looks divine in the rain. I love drinking kadak chai and eating pakodas.”
Shedding some more light on his monsoon favourites, Vikas says, “My favorite rain song is from the movie Baarish titled Yaariyaan because the song is refreshing and soothing. If I had to choose someone I wanted to get drenched with, it would be Alia Bhatt .She is beautiful. I find her the best. She is really cute.”
