Purab Kohli joins Swara Bhasker and Sumeet Vyas in It’s Not That Simple 2

MUMBAI: The second season of the acclaimed digital series It’s Not That Simple is soon set to go on floors and the star cast is getting better day by day. business cash had earlier reported about Sumeet Vyas joining his Veere Di Wedding co-star Swara Bhasker in the second installment.

The latest development from the original is business cash exclusive information regarding the addition of another actor. Indian film and TV actor Purab Kohli has joined the ensemble cast. The 39-year-old actor has signed the papers and has come on board. Not much is known about his character but a little birdie reveals that he will be paired opposite Swara and has a strong character.

The former VJ was last seen in 2017’s Noor and with this project, he will make his digital debut in India. Kohli was also a part of Netflix’s original Sense8.

Coming back to the project, the sequel will soon roll out and go on floors probably by June. It is produced by Victor Tango that created the first season and has also produced an acclaimed show like TVF Tripling.

The sequel will stream on Voot.

The show dealt with the risqué topics of extramarital affair and revolved around the life of an urban woman. Considering the humungous response the series received, the makers planned to bring another season, retaining the female protagonist – Swara Bhasker.

When we contacted the head honcho of the production house, Vaibhav Modi, he maintained a “no comment” stance. On the other hand, Purab didn’t revert to our constant attempts of getting in touch with him.
