It's sad that content based shows do not work – Arjit Taneja
Millions of viewers have been left disappointed with the news of Sony Entertainment Television’s Pyar Ko Ho Jaane Do (Balaji Telefilms) going off air.
And interestingly, it is not just the masses, but also actors who have been left saddened by the abrupt end.
Popular and good looking Arjit Taneja, who plays Bilal in the series has been left utterly disappointed over its untimely wrap up.
“It is so upsetting to know that Pyaar Ko Ho Jaane Do is ending. It was supposed to be a finite series, but then pulling out the plug before its stipulated time is unfair. Trust me when I say that it is one of the best shows in recent times that hit TV screens. It is really sad that content based shows do not work. Although everyone talks about bringing change, nobody wants to accept it or laud it at all.”
The guy also feels bad that the channel hardly gave any support. “Neither PKHJD was promoted well nor we had repeat telecasts. That proves that we were not given enough chance to connect with the masses.”
We then asked Arjit if he will now play safe and stick to regular shows or try his luck again with ‘different’ projects. “To be honest, as an actor there is nothing called playing safe. Interesting roles are offered only by luck and I wouldn’t miss a chance to do such beautiful shows. I am too new in the industry to bracket myself and I would definitely love to try various kinds of characters in times ahead.”
Way to go Arjit!!!
