"An anchor is like a driver of the show," says Karan Wahi.
“More like a balance between the audience, judges, and the contestants.”
Popular actor and anchor Karan Wahi, currently hosting the latest season of Indian Idol 9 afeels anchoring could be monotonous sometimes. He keeps reinventing himself to break that monotonous process.
He says, “I am anchoring after a short break so in a way, I have already broken the monotony. In a reality show like Indian Idol where the contestants keeps changing but the judges are the same, an anchor should have the right focuses. This time there will be no flirting with the judges as I am done with that. With Farah ma’am I need to rethink what I can do, we have done a show called Nach Baliye – Shriman Aur Shrimati in the past. I have worked with Sajid Sir and now with Farah ma’am I am sure we will have fun. She is a very chilled out person.”
Karan also adds, “As an anchor, my main responsibility is to create the content. An anchor is like a driver of the show who creates a perfect balance between the audience and the judges and also the contestants. I have seen sometimes the contestants are very surprised and then they also have that oh my god feeling with the presence of esteemed judges and media glares. I always try to break that ice and see that the contestants feel comfortable in front of so much attention. And I also see that I do not cross the line with any participant in the show.”
