Talking about creating her own Ganpati idol, Tejaswi said, ‘I am in the process of learning the art of sculpting my own gannu. Initially, I was clueless about approaching Raqesh, but later, Rithvik stepped in and introduced me to Raqesh. That is how I started to learn sculpting from Raqesh. It’s an amazing process and I am learning a lot from him. I also feel more connected with Ganeshji now. Since Raqesh and I are both Maharashtrians, we have get along extremely well. He is not only a great human being but also a brilliant artist.’
Today being Teachers’ Day, what would you like to say to Raqesh? Tejaswi says, ‘I would like to say a heartfelt thanks to Raqesh. He probably doesn’t realize what he has done for me. I will be forever indebted to him for teaching me this art and giving me a spiritual high.’
Well, we can’t wait to see the final sculpted Ganpati idols by Raqesh’s amazing students. What about you?
